About Alligator Lake Social Club
Alligator Lake Social Club didn’t start in a boardroom.
It started as a joke.
In the swampy heat of western Louisiana, a gaggle of us were stuck at a staging area for three days. No schedule, no movement, just waiting on the next block of instruction. Ninety-plus degrees, nowhere to go, nothing to do but sit there and embrace the suck.
And to make it better, we were parked directly across the street from a place called Alligator Lake.
So we did what people always do in that situation.
We hung out. We talked. We waited.
And at some point, because that’s how these things go, the joke started:
“Well… I guess this is the Alligator Lake Social Club now.”
It stuck.
Not because it was serious, but because it wasn’t. It was a way to pass time, lighten the mood, and make a pretty miserable situation a little more tolerable.
After it was all over, the name didn’t go away.
It turned into patches. Then into a running joke. Then into something that actually meant something.
Because underneath the joke was a simple truth:
Sometimes the only thing that gets you through the day is routine, a little humor… and a decent cup of coffee.
Alligator Lake Social Club is built on that idea.
